He’s right. It’s seldom an issue of knowing enough. More likely, though, is that people are afraid. I know that’s how it is for me a lot of the time. I hesitate to start new things because I’m afraid someone will point out my inexperience, or find a hole in my knowledge.
I guess starting a new venture is easier for people who are building off previous experience. But what bedrock of confidence to people pull from when they’re in uncharted territory?
President Theodore Roosevelt is quoted as having said … “Start where you stand with the tools that you have; better tools will be found as you go along.” and … “If they ask you if you can do a thing, tell them, ‘Certainly I can!’ and then get busy and find out how to do it!”
Two great bits of advice. Start where you are, with what you have, and learn along the way. So all that’s needed to do a thing is to decide to do it and to get started.
